But lets go back to Friday evening.....When I met Ahmir aka Questlove at his studio determined to get some of his crazy life on tape. I mean whats the point of being friends with the most known and talented drummer in the world if I cant share what I see with yall? lol Anyway he said it would be cool because he would be doing "something" with Nike. Little did I know that "something would turn into him having a 2hour long 1 on 1 with Andre Iguodala and getting his own sneaker...Check out how it began...
I love how you never know who youre gonna see in that studio (or whats gonna come out of my mouth). Anyway, at least I got a little footage while Ahmir took a 15 minute break. So we just rapped about nothing by the water cooler lol.....
So then we head back to the studio for more filming and run into "Dre" aka Andre Iguodala. I hadnt met Dre before so it relieving to see that he was so cool and thought he was just as funny as me (imagine that). I was thinking maybe a bussin contest between Dre and his Brother Frank and Donnavan McNabb and his brother Sean lol. Anyway, so this video is when some of the guys at the studio (Porn, Lyzel,Dame) got into it with Dre about the Slam Dunk Contest (turn down the volume a little. Im still tryin to figure out this camera lol).....
After doing a 100 question interview with Dre, now Ahmir is off to another room in the studio to learn some Gnarls Barkely songs because he will be joining them on stage at the picnic on Saturday......
Ok So now we finally leave the studio! Let us not forget that there is a pre-show to the picnic or as it was billed, "Hors D'ouvres". And The Roots are the hosts. So as we arrive in through the back and I only have one name on my mind...Janelle Monae!!!!
