Ok so seriously by now you havent wandered if there was any shady business with this Haiti earthquake?

Because I know me and my family had a couple of conspiracy theories we came up with, but little did I know that the President of Venezuela had the same theories...

I dont know about you, but I dont put anything past this country especially when it comes to an African Nation that wanted to KEEP it that way!

Man I hate when I fall off for a while. Im such a bad Blogger! Please forgive me...I come with gifts first

Man I gotta say there is a lot of pressure on being a Blogger, lol. Staying up on current events. Making sure your givin folks things they've never seen and a reason to come back. Im not complaining, just explaining why sometimes I get a bad case of the "fall off the end of world" syndrome. So many things to report on. So many opinions. Before I start my rant let me bless your ears with a gift for reading up to this point lol. Here is one of my favorite "pop up outta nowhere and then leave again"rappers, Consquence and Aster Roth. Its called,

So anyway alot has happened since last we spoke (or really since I spoke lol). Of course this situation with Haiti with the earthquake has got my mind racing in all kinds of different directions. And I really have to thank Pat Robertson for his dumbass comments which made me research the history of Haiti further th

GABOUREY SIDIBE!!!! You know the girl we just fell in love with!?!?

Ok so as you can tell by my use of the CAPS lock, I just saw "Precious"!!!! And of course I loved it! I laughed, cried and at times cringed in my seat! I cant believe this actress has never done any film work and only a tiny bit of theater. Which is especially crazy when you see her in interviews because she totally doesnt speak like she does in the movie. No fool not that I thought she would be slangin it up in interviews. Im talking about that deep voice she has in the movie, lol...look!
She actually speaks about how she changed her voice at about 5 minutes into the clip...

And I just posted this Ellen video to show how cool and funny she is..

Gabourey Sidibe is truly my hero for 2010. Watch her as she enjoys her Jennifer Hudson moment this year. Check her out starting things up in Vanity Fair. Love the photo of her and Philly native, Lee Daniels (director of "Precious", "The Woodsman" "Shadowboxer" and "Monster's Ball"). Ok and Ima say it. Although we are all loving her "big and beautiful" attitude, sooner or later some Dr. Ian type (or movie exec) is gonna sway her to shed some pounds. Am I the only one that looks forward to her Moniquesque type makeover?????????? You know where she doesnt loose too much weight, but she just looks healthy?

Kesha Cole all growed up?

So wow Im cruising the internet and I found this statement Keisha put out regarding her mom and 2 sisters. Its ill because I was wandering when she was gonna tire of all the buffoonery. Although Keisha has always had her "hood" side, I always thought she wanted to refine that a little. It took a while (and a baby in the oven), but I think shes getting the point. I wanted to post this because I thought that those who have excelled in any way in there lives, will definitely understand what its like when you have let somethings go. This statement was very honest and Im sure not an easy thing to say AND word......I aint mad atcha sista!

To all my friends and fans,

It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.”

Love Your Girl,

KC

Lets start our Black History Month activities early shall we?

*TV One will honor Black History Month with a set of specials under the banner "Way Black When," which celebrates the dramatic, musical, and comedic portrayals of African American life from the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

During primetime each weeknight, the channel will spotlight a variety of black cult classics from film and television with commentary from industry experts, including actors, producers and musical artists who helped create, or were influenced by the productions.

One of four genres popular with African Americans will be featured each week throughout February: comedy/variety TV, film soundtracks, classic sitcoms, and blaxploitation movies.

Below is the schedule:

Comedy/Variety Week (Monday, Feb. 1 – Friday, Feb. 5):

• Viewers will be treated to encore presentations of "The Flip Wilson Show," the first successful broadcast network variety series starring an African American, and the never before re-aired "The Richard Pryor Show," which first ran on NBC in 1977.

Soundtracks Week (Monday, Feb. 8 – Friday, Feb. 12)

• TV One will honor the films with soundtracks that underscored our lives… such as the hip hop classic, "Krush Groove" and the quintessential coming-of-age treasure, "Cooley High." Host Chris “Kid” Reid (House Party) will be joined by musical artists Brian McKnight, Kurtis Blow and El DeBarge, along with producer/director Warrington Hudlin, actor Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and actor Glynn Turman.

Classic Sitcoms Week (Monday, Feb. 15 – Friday, Feb. 19)

• This week will be hosted by actor Darryl Bell from "A Different World," one of the featured sitcoms. He will be joined by a panel that includes other actors and actresses from this week’s featured sitcoms including Ernest Thomas and Haywood Nelson from "What’s Happening!"; "The Jeffersons’" Marla Gibbs; "Good Times’" Jimmie Walker and BernNadette Stanis; and Ajai Sanders from "A Different World."

Blaxploitation Film Week – (Monday, Feb. 22 – Friday, Feb. 26)

• "The Mack," "Cleopatra Jones," "Foxy Brown," "Three Hard Way," and "Sweet Jesus Preacher Man" will be screened under host Mario Van Peebles. A panel includes his father, legendary director Melvin Van Peebles, and actors Michael Jai, Fred Williamson, Anne-Marie Johnson and Roger E. Mosley.

Did I mention this is my new favorite video?

New Alice in Wonderland TRAILER!!

Thanks Kanye!

Another Tim Burton directed film where he solicits the help of his two best friends and actors, Helen Bonham Carter (Burton's wife) and Johnny Depp (his best friend and star of most of Burton's movies ie Edward Scissorhands)

So I stopped by Kanye's again and look what I found...

Seeing as though Im one of his biggest fans I was a little confused that I had never seen this video of his. It's crazy too. Directed by one of my favorites, Spike Jonze! It received one of the "video of the year" awards from the extra critical Pitchfork.com. Here is what Kanye had to say about that
I DEFINITELY WASN'T EXPECTING ALL THIS LOVE AT THE END OF THE YEAR. LOVE IS HUMBLING. SPIKE IS A GENIUS AND HE BROUGHT THE BEST OUT OF ME. HE CALLED IN A LOT A FAVORS AND WE DID THIS FILM FOR UNDER 50GS. THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY INVOLVED. IBN KILT IT ALSO!!!! SOMETIMES A BIG IDEA CAN TAKE YOU FURTHER THAN A BIG BUDGET. I REMEMBER WHEN HE PITCHED IT TO ME, I WAS LIKE... UUUUUUUM.........WTF!!!!! ... BUT ONLY A COMPLETE IDIOT TURNS DOWN THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE DIRECTED BY SPIKE JONZE. HE'S A REALLY GOOD FRIEND AND CALMING SPIRIT AND THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED MOST IN YOUR LIFE SOMETIMES. HE REMINDS ME OF JON BRION IN A WAY BECAUSE THEY BOTH CAN FIND THE HUMAN QUALITIES IN PEOPLE AND BRING THOSE TO THE FOREFRONT. THEY HAVE SO MUCH GOOD WILL THAT THEY LET ME USE SOME OF THAT TO OPEN DOORS THAT HAVE BEEN CLOSED OFF TO ME. THIS WAS THEEE MOST IN YOUR FACE CONCEPT BUT SPIKE MADE ME LOOK LIKE A HURT CHILD INSTEAD OF AN OUTRAGEOUS ASSHOLE. WHEN EVERYONE GOES BIG, GO SMALL. WHEN EVERYONE GOES CLEAN, GO DIRTY. WHEN EVERYBODY PUTS ON THE CRAZIEST OUTFITS EVER, PUT ON YOUR FAVORITE OLD BAND OF OUTSIDERS DINNER JACKET AND PULL A MONSTER OUT OF YOUR SOUL. I WISH I COULD SAY THAT MONSTER WAS TRULY DEAD BUT I THINK HE'LL BE BACK TO LIFE SITTING ON MY SHOULDER WHEN I GET BACK IN THE STUDIO.

WE WERE ONCE A FAIRYTALE BY SPIKE JONZE & KANYE WEST
by teleTOC

Kanye also posted the new trailer for the New Iron Man movie, which is interesting because there was a little controversy surrounding the casting of Don Cheadle in the place of Terrence Howard. Last I heard Terrence wanted a raise for the sequel and the producers were like NO! lol So Don stepped in in his place. Anyway it still looks interesting. Scarlett Jo and Mikey Rourke have been added too....

WOW... THIS IS REALLY FLATTERING... I'VE HAD SOME UPS AND DOWNS THIS YEAR, WELL ACTUALLY THIS DECADE. JUST SEEING THIS COVER TAKES ME BACK TO THAT TIME OF MY LIFE. I REMEMBER HOW MUCH PAIN AND LOVE WENT INTO THIS ALBUM. NO ONE SAW IT COMING. THIS PROJECT WASN'T ABOUT ME, IT WAS ABOUT A TIME IN PEOPLES LIVES WHERE PEOPLE FORCE OPINIONS ON YOU AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE CHOICES FOR YOURSELF. WE LOVED 50 CENT BUT WE WANTED TO BE THE YANG. WE WANTED TO WEAR PINK POLOS AND RAP ABOUT BEING HURT INSTEAD BEING INVINCIBLE. THERE WAS A CORE GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WORKED ON THIS ALBUM EVERYDAY.... PLAIN PAT, JOHN MONOPOLY, DON CRAWLEY, ANTHONY KILHOFFER, MANNY MARROQUIN, JOHN LEGEND, DEVON HARRIS, RYHMEFEST, GEE ROBERSON, HIP HOP, AL BRANCH, DAMON DASH, GABE TESORIERO, CRAIG BAUER, GLC, OL' SCHOOL ICE GREE, CONSEQUENCE, B NICE AND MY MOM. I WAS MOST INSPIRED BY THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL AND I LISTENED TO THAT ALBUM EVERYDAY WHILE WORKING ON MY DEBUT. THANK YOU FOR THIS ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND FOR PUTTING "THE BLUEPRINT" ON THE LIST ALSO. I LOVED "THE LOVE BELOW' AND "GET RICH OR DIE TRYING" ALSO. THEY BOTH EQUALLY DESERVED THE NUMBER ONE SPOT IN MY EYES BUT THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE NUMBER ONE!!!
