Erykah Badu strips down for her art in her new video and I LOVE IT!

Can I just tell you I am waaaay pumped for the release of part 2 to Erykah's ""Nu America"!!!!! The firs part was cool with a more polictical stance, but it aint nuffin like a good EBadu ballad. "Window Seat" is so perfect for this reason. And the video!?!?!? ok 2 things you should know before viewing.

1). She strips down naked walking down a popular Texas street
2). This popular street is the same street JFK was assasinated on so watch out for Erykah's hidden messages at the end, which really isnt that hidden if you pay attention......

Oh and if you missed her on my girl Wendy Williams show this week, no worries...

PS peep the body language between WW and EB. Those who are Wendy fans remember the last interview that they did and it wasnt uh...the friendliest. I wander if thats the reason Erykah didnt do an interview lol.

Wait a minute, Tavis, Farrakhan, Cornell West, and Jesse!?!?

Dang its ill because Tavis was the first one before Obama was elected, to be concerned for the plight of black folks under Obama's tenure. Well looks like hes got some pretty reputable people feeling him. Come on Black Folks lets talk about it for real!

Yes! Alicia and Beyonce on stage together! Finally!

Funny because most would think that that have graced the stage together, but NOPE. They have toured together but never really had a reason to share a stage, I guess. Well thank the Lawd for "Put it in a love song". Here is Alicia at her show in NYC last week and her and Bee even do a little dance. LOVE IT!

Howard Stern dont get this Gabby Sidibe thing..

Most of you will be offended by Howard and Robin's comments. Im an admitted fan of Howard and that label is sometimes a heavy burden. Especially when he does something like this. My question is....At some point shouldnt she loose a little weight? If just to ensure life? Unfortunately Howard and Robin dont care enough to address the REAL issue. Regardless I feel they are totally wrong about the extent of her acting. She will be a great actress. Well here we go get ready to be offended, lol....

So how many SUCCESSFUL singing couples you know with 6 kids?

Not many right? So give my friends Kindred The Family Soul aka Fatin and Aja, their own reality show! Seriously I have always been proud to speak about Aja and Fatin because I am a diehard fan of the music and the people. They are both awesome in different ways that come together and fit perfectly! The fact that they now have 6 kids makes them even more awesome. I mean why not? 6 Children born out of TRUE love. Anyway enough with all the mush. Check them out!
I think they are so TLC! Too loving for BET lol

RIP Corey Haim...the man who had me addicted to white boys for the late part of the 80's

Man so I dont know and dont care if this sounds crazy but the death of Corey Haim means so much to me. I think from grades 6-9 I had a serious white boy problem, lol. I say "problem" because at one point my wall was so full of River Phoenix, Chad Lowe, NKOTB, and mostly Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, that my parrents had to have "a talk" with me about it lol. You see they are seriously the BLACKEST brown skin parrents you will meet lol. I cant explain why I went through that phase. And dont get it twisted I still have my favorites, but it was something about Corey Haim. Maybe it was the sideways smile or just the roles that he chose, because to this day, if "Lucas" comes on, Im watchin it. Same with "The Lost Boys". Needless to say if I were to write a book about my life I would have to include "The Corey Haim Era".

How I choose to remember Corey....

Why I love JR. Music Exec!

Ok so I have mentioned this program in the past, but here is a refresher for all that have a teen or college age person in their life. Its this really cool program that my homie, Aisha Winfield founded. The goal is to show young folks the careers that can be achieved BEHIND the scenes in the music business.

They are having a fundraiser and award show. And Im hosting! Along with my godmother and radio personality, Dyana Williams. There are quite a few things that are gonna make this night really cool especially considering that some of the actual kids that participate are going to get awadsr, but I am also looking forward to honoring 2 people that I am soooo proud of, Mark Byers (SUPER manager) and Adam Blackstone who I have known for 10 years now. Adam used to play in the band for the Black Lily for a few years as a young buck. Meaning he started playing with some of the best live performers that I kn0w (Kindred, Floetry, The Jazzyphatenastees, Jaguar Wright). And without going into Adam's bio, the man now is not only a great guitar/bass player he is one of the most sought after music directors in the world!! Im talkin Kanye! and Pharrell just to name a few! HE is the reason when you look at Kanye's band that some of us Philly folks think to ourselves "dont I know that dude?" lol. As far as I know Kanye's whole band is from Philly! Oh and by the way he is also producing some songs for Jill Scott's new album. Ok I know im talkin bout this dude alot but like I said Im very proud to have seen his journey! So is Vivian Green who will be presenting the award! Check out the details below!!!
