Lawd so much to catch up on...

Lets start with Monday, August 24th. A BIG day for me! I am auditioning for the "Donnie Simpson Morning Show" in my hometown of DC! Yes you can listen if you're not in the area...Check ME out!

Oh and look at the Cool place we are broadcasting from downtown!

I'm really excited to be on the radio at home. Its surreal! I keep thinking about how DC really molded me into who I am. Especially culturally. I mean I walked in my first march in DC (to end Apartheid!). I was there when they made King's birthday a holiday! Man the memories...I started my backpacker years there. I was introduced to the Fugees there. I became a woman (or so I thought) there lol. I saw my first Roy Ayers concert there! Shoot I saw my one and only Michael Jackson concert there! I danced backstage with Gregory Hines there (when i was little I wanted to be a dancer so bad and that moment meant so much to me!). I went so see my first plays at the Kennedy Center there!
(Thanks daddy!)
And I've been listening (and watching) Donnie Simpson since I was about
This Old
Maybe even this old
but dont tell Donnie! lol
(RIP David Hanes...burnt toast and coffee!)
Its just really exciting so I hope you LISTEN! Monday 6a-10a!

In other news, I found a cool movie Im looking forward to. it was the last movie that heath ledger made before he died. he actually didnt finish it so i hear that johnny depp, collin farrell and jude law lent their help...it looks crazy! check it out

A piece of Hip Hop died this weekend...

Titus “Baatin” Glover, a founding member of hip-hop group Slum Village, has died at the age of 35.

He was missed for me from Slum Village, but he will definitely be missed from this life. Thank God he lives on in the Music!
